About

alternative rock / eastern europe

In the first years, the activity of the project was focused on the organization and promotion of concerts of alternative rock artists from Russia and Eastern Europe. The concerts organized by "Auris Media" include those of such renown bands as "Auktyon", "Vopli Vidoplyasova", "Tequilajazz", Petr Mamonov, Volkov Trio, "Piknik", "Umka & Bronevichok" and many others. The information on some the concerts may be found at the "Reviews" section of this site.

In parallel, the project members developed the internet site, aimed to publish the information on non-commercal concert activity in Israel, concentrating, mainly, on the musicians and bands coming from abroad. The site0 has quickly gained wide popularity among music-lovers, being the unique source of information about upcoming concerts and reports on past events.

Starting from year 2002, "Auris Media" becoming more and more involved in the music activity not-related to Eastern Europe, including the organization and promotion of concerts of independent musicians from Western Europe and USA (such as Holger Czukay and Ned Rothenberg) and underground and independent Israeli musicians (such as jazz pianist and composer Vyacheslav Ganelin and "Kruzenshern & Parohod" band.

In July 2003, the record label "Auris Media Records" was established as part of "Auris Media" project, with purpose to promote the undergound and independent music scene in Israel. The label plans to release the works of independent artists of any kind from Israel and abroad, as well as live records of concerts organized by "Auris Media".

In November 2004, the new "Auris Media" site was opened, combining the beloved features of old project site (such as data on the upcoming and "Reviews" reviews of past events) with new design and extensive section devoted to "Auris Media Records"
